Environmental control gives you the opportunity to manipulate electronic appliances from your computer. Almost all electronic appliances that is operated with a remote control is supported.
VS Communicator 3 supports the widely-used environmental control unit (ECU) Gewa Prog III.
When combined with VS Communicator 3, Gewa Prog III enables motion-impaired users to control the environment directly from Communicator's simple and scan-accesible user interface.
The Gewa Prog III offers unparalleled signal strength and can learn almost any remote control signal for TV, VCR, DVD, X10, Toys, etc.
Note that you need the Pro edition of VS Communicator 3 in order to make use of environmental control.

a cable- (serial or USB), IR- or Bluetooth connection.

Speech Engines

With synthetic speech engines text in the program can be spoken out loud to the user. Synthetic speech engines have the
ability to translate all written text into speach. The latest versions are also very high quality, whith very natural
and pleasant voices.
VS Communicator 3 supports SAPI 4 and SAPI 5.
Brightspeech
Brightspeech is the newest text-to-speech engine from Babel Technologies. We recommend Brightspeech if quality is your
main concern.
